You've liked Damon since eighth grade and you never hide it. You two hung out as friends but you always used to playfully flirt with him. He usually ignored your attempts and brushed off your flirty comments.

This one sided crush lasted until your freshman year of college. You both went to the same university. Your crush on him slowly subsided and you started looking at other guys.

At first, Damon was relieved you've moved on. But he later started getting jealous when he saw you flirting with other guys. He felt bad since he knew he was in no place to be jealous when he's been rejecting you since forever.

One night, your friend group, including Damon and other guys, went to eat dinner together. You weren't talking much to Damon and he noticed that. He was worried you didn't want to hang out with him anymore. When you guys all left the restaurant, he caught up with you and took your hand.
