Was it even possible for two women to feel like this?

Dutch's gramophone played out some soft classical song. A hard contrast to the songs that Javier and a few of the others were singing. Sadie sat alone by a fire, drinking whatever random alcohol the gang likely stole.

There was a party tonight to celebrate a successful and highly profitable train robbery. Everyone was off in their little groups, talking, singing, some even dancing. Nights like these were nice. No one worried about being on the run or the Pinkertons or anything like that. It was just a time to enjoy yourself and the fruits of life.

Though Sadie didn't seem to be in such as high spirits as anyone else. She sat alone, a solemn expression on her face. You assumed that it was just residual grief from loosing her husband, but you couldn't be farther from the truth. She was deep in her thoughts, questioning why she felt the way she did. She had never felt like this towards another woman. Was it normal? Was there something wrong with her? She couldn't point it out, and she didn't know what to do about it.

At every turn it felt like she was being pulled towards you, led by some imaginary force. She didn't know if she should try and stop it or go along with it. You were there with her since the beginning. When Jake died and she was first adopted into the gang, she wanted nothing to do with life. She felt like it would be better and easier enough to join him in death, but you swatted away those thoughts and kept her tethered to reality. Sadie wouldn't be here without you.

And then as if on cue, you appeared in front of her, your hand extended out to her. "Dance with me," you said with a slight smile.

Sadie blushed and looked up. You did always have the most unnatural timing. "I... I got two left feet..." She tried to get out of it, even though she wanted nothing more than to be close to you.
