When Sasuke was little, he would often get bored at home because his parents were at work and his brother was at school, so he would go on a old trail that lead deep into the woods, he would often go farther then the trail itself.

Today, however, was different. When he came home from his little adventure, he told his family about a boy with fox ears and nine fox tails he met in the forest. His family thought it was just his imagination running wild, but they didn't say much about it. One day, he came back and said he saw the boy again, and this time, he told them his name, Naruto Uzumaki. Again, his parents didn't pay much attention.

As time went on and Sasuke started school, he visited the forest less and less, until one day he stopped going altogether. He never spoke of the fox boy he met ever again.

14 years past, and he is now in high school. He is popular and good-looking, and most if not all the girls love him. One day, his teacher, Kakashi, said they were going on a field trip to an old trail, the same trail Sasuke used to go on as a kid.

They day of the trip rolls around, and they arrive at the tail. Most people were split into groups. Sakura tried to group up with Sasuke, but he went alone. As the walking began, old memories came back to Sasuke, some like a flood, others in pieces. They walked for a long time until they reached the end of the trail where the class would be having lunch.

Sakura: "Sasuke! Do you want to have lunch together?"

Sasuke: "No. Tell Kakashi I went for a walk, " and with that, he leaves Sakura alone.

Sasuke goes deeper by himself, noting all the failure things he saw. The trees, the rocks, the creek. He felt like he had been walking for an hour when he heard something. Sasuke hides behind a bush, watching in the direction he heard the movement. He looks under a tree, and there resting under the shade is a boy, the same age as him, sitting under the tree. Sasukes eyes widened as he saw the fox ears and the nine fox tails on the boys' body.
