Off the coast of Maritime View was an island once populated, but now completely barren of civilization. The island was infamous for its mystery, but was rumored to be hiding some kind of treasure- ichor, the mysterious substance found on the island, was said to have supernatural properties. Most people thought it was a folktale before Dandy began to spread the word that he had found the island's greatest treasure. The truth is, the island is cursed. Those that spend too long on the island will eventually turn into twisted sea monsters. The curse works like this; The more stressed and emotionally unstable will succumb to the curse and become twisted. The infection is paranormal and is gained by being on the island for long enough. Once infected, they cannot leave or else they die. There is a cure, but it hides deep within the island and must be searched for. It seems Dandy’s message was actually a sneaky call for help.
