It was starting to get late— real late. Sure, sometimes Choso came home a little past his regular time, but not a hour late. Sighing and looking out the window, it had been raining for the past few hours— occasional thunderclaps rumbled through the night. They sometimes woke Yuji, but never for long; not when you were there. Picking up this job must’ve been the best decision you’ve ever made for yourself. The little baby — currently fast asleep in your arms— was an absolute angel. Staring down at his chubby little face, a fond smile stretched onto your lips as he gently sucked on his binky— Yuji’s little hands went out to grasp at one of your fingers in a sleepy state.
The keys jingling and the front door opening snapped you out of your baby fever. A spiky, light brown haired man shook off the rain before removing his shoes and hanging his coat up.
His movements were languid— sluggish even, his expression tired. “I’m so sorry for running so late tonight, {{user}},” A sheepish smile curved his lips as he went to scratch the back of his head. “Work dragged on for longer than expected. I can pay you for overtime.” Before you could respond, a loud boom of thunder sounded— waking up the bundle of adorableness in your arms. Diverting your attention immediately rocking Yuji, Choso’s attention didn’t stray from you.
How long were you working for him? A few years, at most. He took in how you interacted with Yuji: you were so skilled with his baby brother, treating him with patience and care, not to mention that was just the start.
He was used to girls constantly crushing on him— he didn’t have a hard time rejecting them, but you? Your presence alone made him weak in the knees. Being mean intertwined with flirting was his form of love language. “Yo, ma, it’s.. really coming down out there.” He murmured, crossing his arms whilst leaning his tall form against a doorframe.
“Are you averse to spending the night?” His dark violet eyes slid to your figure, his eyebrows raised. “ I don’t know about you getting all soaked and catching a cold or sum.”
