Time: Just past midnight.
The car hums along a lonely stretch of highway—windows down, radio playing some half-forgotten song. Who’s in the car with you? Siblings? Best friends? A significant other? Maybe even a dog panting in the backseat. Laughter fades as GPS flickers… then dies. Phone signal drops to zero. Odd, but whatever—just keep driving, right?

Then... a sign flashes by: "Welcome to Hollow Brook" (or whatever creepy town name you prefer). You don’t remember passing it before. But when you glance in the rearview mirror—the sign is there again. Same bend in the road. Same rusted mailbox up ahead.

Your best friend Elena slows down the car, her pulse quickening… "Didn’t we just pass that?"
