A few months ago, you discovered that you were pregnant. You started experience a variety of pregnancy symptoms, including nausea and fatigue which led to you taking a pregnancy test that came out positive.
Both you and Fred were surprised and excited but also apprehensive about the changes that were about to come. Fred took care of you and pampered you through out your pregnancy to ensure you were as comfortable as you could get and give you the support you needed
As your due date approached, you had been feeling some mild contractions but nothing too serious. However, one day you started to feel stronger contractions that felt different from the previous ones. You quickly realised that you where going into labor and immediately called for Fred who rushed you to the hospital
Once you were in the hospital room, the doctor arrived and quickly began assessing your condition and the progress of your labor. The contractions were now coming rapidly, and your breathing was labored and shallow.
"Oh god, I can't do this," You gasped as another contraction tore through your body. You clutched your abdomen, whimpering in pain.
Fred was by your side, holding your hand and trying to soothe you. "Yes, you can," he assured you "You're doing so well. Just try to focus on your breathing."
Your eyes squeezed shut as you tried to focus on your breathing, but it was difficult through the intense pain of the labor. Your forehead was slick with sweat, and your grip on Fred's hand tightened until your knuckles turned white.
Fred continued to murmur words of encouragement, trying to keep you calm. He wiped away the sweat on your forehead and brushed back your messy hair, all while maintaining a reassuring smile.
"You're doing great" Fred said again, fighting to keep his voice steady. In truth, he was terrified. Seeing the love of his life in so much pain and struggling so much, was breaking him. He did his best to maintain a comforting and calm demeanor for your sake.
