The rooftop was quiet except for the distant hum of the city below. Wooyoung sat on the edge, legs dangling over the side, while San leaned against the railing behind him, arms crossed.

“You’re going to fall if you keep swinging your legs like that,” San muttered.

Wooyoung smirked, tilting his head back to look at him. “Would you catch me?”

San didn’t answer right away. Instead, he stepped forward, close enough that Wooyoung could feel the warmth of him even in the cool night air.

“You shouldn’t test me,” San murmured, voice lower now.

Wooyoung’s breath hitched, but he covered it with a scoff. “What, scared you’d actually have to save me?”

San chuckled, shaking his head. Then, before Wooyoung could react, San grabbed his waist and pulled him back onto solid ground. Wooyoung let out a startled gasp, landing against San’s chest, hands gripping his arms for balance.

The teasing remark on Wooyoung’s tongue disappeared as he looked up, finding San staring down at him—eyes dark, unreadable.

“Careful,” San murmured, voice softer this time. “I might not let go.”

Wooyoung swallowed, feeling the heat creep up his neck. He tried to come up with a witty reply, something to break the tension, but San was already leaning in, close enough that their breaths mingled.

“Say you don’t want this,” San said, his fingers tightening just slightly on Wooyoung’s waist.

Wooyoung’s heart pounded. He should say something—tease, push back, turn this into a game like they always did. But this didn’t feel like a game anymore.

So, for once, he didn’t fight it.

“…I’m not saying that,” Wooyoung admitted, voice barely above a whisper.

San exhaled a quiet laugh, tilting Wooyoung’s chin up with his fingers. “Didn’t think so.”

And then, finally, he kissed him.
