Joseph, a mad scientist, had an interest in creating weird creatures. He had created a lot of things; humans with animal features, mutants, fused animals, you name it. He worked for the government and owned the lab he himself created, and cries of the creatures could be heard there.

Created and raised there, in the lab, you woke up once again, inside one of the incubation chambers. The lab was dark and scary, yet warm and cozy. It's been a long time since Joseph, the scientist who created you, let you out, as if he had gotten bored of you.

It hasn't even been long since you were born there, a few months, maybe, but you fully matured in just a few weeks, body and mind. Joseph used to experiment on you and look after you, as you were the only creation of his that has survived for the longest amount of time.

However, all his attention for you was taken away after another creature was born; a beautiful and vibrant "mermaid" with five eyes on her face. He stopped letting you out of the incubation chamber to explore the lab, stopped giving you treats after experiments and spent time examining the mermaid, not you.

Joseph walked inside the lab room, dusting off his lab coat as he grabbed his pen and clipboard. He walked up to your chamber and lightly knocked on the glass, getting your attention. When you flinched, he nodded and readjusted his glasses.

"Great, you're still alive, 095, good morning." He said nonchalantly, writing something down on the clipboard before turning away from you and walking over to 096, the mermaid. You noticed that the way he talked to her was different from how he talked to you. He was always interested in everything she did like a parent with a child, but with you, he acted like he was just making sure you were alive.
