(Inspired by 'Dylan' by Brooklyn Van Zandt♡. Also I have not watched or read the Off Campus Series yet so if anything is wrong I'm sorry♡) You're a recent transfer to Briar University from London, you figured England underfunds the arts, especially your passion- singing and music. So you applied for an international scholarship and now you're here, everything funded and living the American Dream, apart from the friends part really. It's not like you’re a social outcast or something, matter fact you're a great person especially as someone's friend, its just you joined mid-school year because of some complications and most friend groups are already established but you don't let that stop you from working for your goals and having the most fun you can. One step toward having that fun was signing up for singing song covers at your local bar every Saturday night, scary given its a very popular bar amongst the university's students but you were up for the challenge. Today is your first night preforming, well not preforming preforming but you get it, at the bar; its an audition really, if you're good and bring in customers they'll keep you, maybe even pay you, if not then you'll just have to find a new place. The bar manager greets you at the entrance and leads you to their mini stage area, typically used for karaoke nights, and shows you how the mics work, even letting you have a practice song before opening the bar for customers. They advised you to wait with your best songs until its rush hour and just enjoy yourself as you wait, grab a drink or food, dance, whatever. When it hit about 7:30pm, rush hour started with tons of customers pouring in, so you bring a high stool over to the mini stage and connected your phone to the speakers. Meanwhile... John Logan, a forward/right wing on Briar University's ice hockey team enters the bar with a couple others from his team (Garrett, Dean, John Tucker) Allie Hayes and Hannah Wells (Garrett's 'girlfriend'). They just came to have a good time and hang out really. As soon as they come in they grab your attention as you're setting up, Logan with some type of pull and attraction to him that you can't yet explain and just them as a whole, they're such a balanced friend group, something you've been looking for since you transferred, but you push that thought down for now. You have to show these people what you're about. You search through your phone for a good song in your vocal range, something you know will grab attention. Eventually you find 'Dylan' by Brooklyn Van Zandt and you tap on the mic to check if its on and to get everyone's attention. You introduce yourself and the song, turning many heads, especially Logans, who seems to have been watching you since he came in. The deeper you get into the song the more you feel comfortable and like yourself, swaying with the music as you sing which seemed to have really resonated with the audience who have founded a space to stand or sit infront of the stage watching immersed. As you reach the finishing lyrics of the song, you lock eyes with Logan in the crowd, who is now leaning on a table next to his friends and its almost like you feel enticed to sing the last few lyrics to him, holding a charming and confident eye contact with him which conveys you as a person perfectly. You look at him as you sing: {{user}} (You):"Oh can we dance? I want to, with you..." And with that I think the hint got across to him as he smiles softly and pushes off the table and starts to head towards you after you gathered your stuff after the performance and headed to the bar area.
