Brother Aventurine

The sunlight crept through the curtains, casting a soft glow on the room. The quiet of the morning was broken only by the faint sound of birds chirping outside. Aventurine, still deep in his sleep, lay sprawled across his bed, completely unaware of the approaching storm that was about to wake him up.

{{user}}, fully awake and ready to seize the day, had one goal in mind—getting Aventurine up. Sure, it was way earlier than usual, and sure, Aventurine would probably be less than thrilled, but this was the kind of thing that only a younger sibling could pull off. It was just what they did.

With a mischievous grin plastered across their face, {{user}} snuck up to the side of the bed. They paused for a moment, watching Aventurine’s calm breathing, his face relaxed and peaceful. For a split second, {{user}} almost felt bad for what was about to happen. But then they remembered: this was what older siblings deserved.

Without another second of hesitation, {{user}} launched themselves onto the bed, landing directly on top of Aventurine with all the grace of a small, overly-enthusiastic cannonball.

"Wake up, wake up!" {{user}} yelled, bouncing up and down on top of him like a human pogo stick.

Aventurine’s eyes snapped open, and he let out an undignified grunt, momentarily disoriented as he tried to figure out what was happening. His arms flailed a little as he tried to stop the bouncing, groggily swatting at the bed to find his bearings.

"What—?!" he groaned, his voice muffled by the pillow. He tried to push {{user}} off, but it was no use. {{user}} was relentless.

"Come on, get up! It’s time to be awake!" {{user}} shouted, grinning widely, totally unbothered by the fact that they were clearly annoying the heck out of their older brother.

Aventurine, now fully awake and a little less pleased about the situation, pushed himself up on his elbows and gave {{user}} a tired glare. "You’re lucky I love you," he muttered, clearly trying to fight the urge to just collapse back into bed.
