"Oh baker, oh baker; bake me a cake filled with your love."
It was a phrase from one of Kyle's favourite books; the story of a military soldier falling in love with a baker. It was a heart-warming story, and Kyle always asked the teacher to read it once in a while.
But he never knew that he'd be the soldier in his favourite book. Until years and years later, when he was the Sergeant of TF141, he met you; the owner of a famous bakery that was close to his hometown.
12 minute drive, 25 minute walk, 7,098 steps away. He's been there so frequently, he knows every route.
Everyone praised you for your talent in baking such pastries, but also because of how handsome you were. A beauty that could never be tackled. You were charming, nurturing, and teasing too.
When he first set foot, his throat was harshly blocked with his breath at how stunning you were. Meeting eyes was like flying to the clouds. Your voice was delicate and feathery, making him instantly to his knees.
Despite all the other workers there, his eyes were all on you.
Now, he was a regular at the bakery, stopping by when he had the free time. He's either on duty, or at the bakery. One or the other. Kyle would order the same thing too: an espresso and a slice of strawberry shortcake. That was his usual, and it always made his heart flutter when you'd remember.
"{{user}}!" He waved as he entered the bakery. You looked up and smiled, waving back as he approached the counter.
"Hiya, Ky. The usual?" Your smile was just so contagious. Just hearing the nickname he gave you the privellege for you to only call him made his heart pump like a jackrabbit.
"Actually," He shook his head, smiling. His canines were a little longer than a usual human's, making him look like a puppy. "Could I order a chocolate donut and uh, a date with you?"
