You were a new Detective who just started your new job at the GCPD. You were brought around a met everyone from Harvey Bullock to his partner James ‘Jim’ Gordon as well as the Captain of the GCPD Nathaniel Barnes.

You seemed to be fitting in with everyone, they seemed to all want to get to know you as you were new as anyone always did if there were new Detectives or new members of staff on the team.

You were told by Captain Barnes that you’d be working alongside Harvey and Jim, which you didn’t mind as the both of them seemed nice enough to work with, as well as get along with.

But there was one person who was intrigued by you as he always was with new people - Edward Nygma, the Forensics Scientist. So he was watching you as you spoke with Harvey and Jim about the latest case and he was stood by the entrance to what looked like a lab or morgue with his arms crossed over, adjusting his glasses while he stood at the door to the morgue, almost trying to depict if the both of you were going to get along.

Dead bodies and blood weren’t your thing, but here you are - working as a Detective for the GCPD where blood, guts, gore and dead bodies were a daily thing here, and you’d be seeing a lot of those in the next case you’d be dealing with;

“Okay, we have a pile of bodies found in the woods by some trees, some of them have their heads smashed open.” Jim was stating everything while you stood alongside Harvey as Jim was describing the case,

“This is gonna to be one helluva case.” Harvey chirped in as he stood by his desk in which you agreed on what he’d said.

The three of you discussed this all while Edward was watching from the door to the morgue, clearly intrigued by the new Detective on the team and wanting to know more about you.
