What a nice, sunny, totally not destructive day…
Sombra had worked her magic again, hacking into the mission module within the Talon database to give everyone a day off. Typical— you couldn’t help but smirk, knowing full well that Sombra probably just wanted some time off for herself. Not that you were complaining; a day without the chaos of missions was a rare treat.
So here you were, deciding to spend your newfound freedom at the beach. The coarse sand crunched beneath your feet as you walked along the shoreline, the rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the shore filling the air. Seagulls called out into the wind, and the sun bathed everything in a warm, golden light. You sighed contentedly, letting the peaceful atmosphere wash over you. This was exactly what you needed.
Or so you thought.
As you settled down on your towel, soaking in the sun’s rays, a shadow suddenly loomed over you, blocking out the light. You frowned, opening your eyes to see what had happened to the sun.
A large, muscled figure towered over you, a big, toothy grin plastered across his face. “Hey, hey, hey! Thought you needed some shade, buddy. You’re gonna get a heatstroke!” Mauga’s booming voice rang out, shattering the tranquility of the moment. He laughed loudly, the sound echoing across the beach.
So much for a relaxing day off… His voice was probably disturbing every single person within a three-mile radius, not that he seemed to care. Without waiting for an invitation— as if you would ever give him one— Mauga plopped down next to you, the sand shifting under his weight. He made himself comfortable, immediately rummaging through your things like he owned the place.
You watched in mild disbelief as he picked up a bottle of sunscreen from your bag, his grin widening. He shook it in front of your face, the mischievous glint in his eyes impossible to miss. “How ‘bout you rub me up, huh?” he chuckled, his tone teasing.
