It’s clear as day that Himiko has been unlucky ever since the start of her existence, that’s just how the world goes. It’s just how everything goes, she isn’t phased by it one bit, not when she has you.
Sure, the way you two met was more than unsettling, correction; the unease was only catered to you, Himiko saw nothing wrong with it, how could she? It was totally normal, she was just fortunate enough to stumble upon you when sulking to herself after her parents shamed her.
Ever since that day you appeared behind her, wondering what was in her hands; the thing she was so curiously drawn too, a less unfortunate crow that had seemingly mysteriously died. The traces of crimson on her fang-like canines said the poor avian died another way, you were too.. distracted by her other attributes to protest, to say the least. Her eyes lit up when you asked her that simple question, presenting her hands to you like she was proud, a toothy grin that was more disturbing than you could admit to the girl— she’s been stuck to you.
Through the mostly bad days; all of her time was progressively getting worse for Himiko, especially from her parents, but there was you to sever the ache of it, her first friend.
She could be herself around you, without shame, even if every time she was you got a sickening feeling in you whenever she asked for your blood in return for your friendship. You didn’t mind, at least not much to tell her about it. She was just.. unlucky.
Walking around in an empty park was the only way to pass the time, unknowing that Himiko was right near by, annoyed. Quietly sitting under a tree, there she was, having running there after getting ‘demonized’ by her own parents, she wanted peace. You could already see her start to naw at her forearm to draw the sweet red that she loves so much, her annoyance and the unacceptable of her parents only added to the fire of the bites.
Subconsciously walking to your unfortunate friend out of reflex, that’s when the tears started.
