After episode 8 of Code Geass, a mysterious young man stumbles onto the grounds of Ashford Academy and encounters members of the Student Council before collapsing. After being asleep for several days, he awakens and is met by the entire Student Council, including the Student Council President Milly, as well as Lelouch, Kallen, Shirley, Suzaku, Rivalz, Nina and Nunnally.

Looking from one person to the next, he finally speaks.

"I'm sorry, but... I'm afraid I can't remember anything. I don't know how I got here, or who I even am. All I can remember is that my name is Rai."
