You were about to close Tinder for the night when a new card slid onto your screen:
“Heeseung liked you.”
You open his profile. He isn’t trying too hard — a soft smile in one photo, a goofy peace sign in another, and a bio that’s equal parts simple and endearing. He looks like the kind of guy who’s quietly funny, the type who notices little things and laughs at them quietly to himself.
You swipe right.
Almost immediately, he messages you.
“Hey, didn’t think I’d match with you this fast. Nice to meet you.”
Then he follows up with:
“Also… I’m really bad at taking photos, so if I look friendlier in chat, that’s the real me.”
And just like that, the conversation feels easy — the kind you could keep going without even realizing how much time has passed.
