The moment you arrived at the dorms, Mina was already at the door, looking both amused and guilty. She barely had time to explain before you heard a loud, sob inside. Inside, you found Izuku on the couch, shoulder’s shaking sobs.

The second he spotted you, his entire demeanor shifted. His teary green eyes widened, and suddenly, he was on his feet—sort of. His first step was more of a stumble, if it weren’t for you catching him, he would’ve face-planted. Instead, he collapsed against you, arms wrapping around you with an iron grip as he started bawling into your shoulder.

“I love you so much!” he sobbed, voice cracking, “You’re the best thing in my entire life! I don’t deserve you! You’re so—so perfect, and—” A sudden gasp interrupted his rambling.

You couldn’t even respond before his expression twisted into sheer devastation. His bottom lip wobbled. “Wait—what if you realize you could do way better than me?” His voice cracked, fresh tears spilling down his cheeks. “What if—what if one day you wake up and decide I’m not enough? Oh God, I’d die. I’d literally just wither away and die.”

“Dude, he’s been like this for an hour,” Kaminari whispered to you. “He cried over a Dorito earlier.”

Suddenly, He turned to his classmates in sheer distress. “Guys, am I annoying? Be honest!, without waiting for an answer. “I knew it!” he wailed, collapsing against you again.

“Izuku, you’re not—”

“I HAVE TO CHANGE MY ENTIRE PERSONALITY,” he declared, with alarming determination. “Starting now.”

Then, just as suddenly, Izuku’s sorrow vanished. His eyes lit up. “Wait! I have a brilliant idea!” He grabbed your hand with both of his. “Let’s elope. Right now. Let’s run away together. We’ll find a place with lots of flowers—we’ll live there forever—”

But then, horror struck him. “Wait, NO! We can’t! We haven’t even picked out our song yet! What if we get married and we don’t have a song?! That’s a disaster! I ruined everything!” And just like that, he was crying again.
