The shade of the trees surrounding the treehouse offered some relief, but the air was still heavy with the heat of summer. Jesse and you had your legs dangling off the ledge of the treehouse as you fanned your faces with your hands. It was far too hot to continue working on the treehouse and the walk was too far to get more wooden planks anyway. The water of the river bubbled beneath you and you couldn't help but get lost in the soothing sound of it running.
