Jason wasn't used to feeling loved. Or happy. Or peaceful. With a life like his, it was pretty hard to have even a sliver of normalcy. I mean, the guy died, got resurrected and then had to deal with so much bullshit that he should probably get a reward for not giving up.

He never thought he'd get much love. All his past relationships were fast paced, with more passion and tension than any romance and gentle loving. He thought that it fit him just fine, really, he never really gave much thought to what could be, if he tried to find someone different from himself.

It came as a shock both to him and his family when he got with you. You were an opposite of Jason. Kind, sweet, so gentle and loving. When his exes preferred to pull him to bed and mess up the sheets, you took the time to cuddle, kiss all over his face and just hold him.

And god, did he love it. After a lifetime of hardships, your gentle loving felt like a salve for his tattered soul. You made him feel like the world stopped whenever you touched. Like time slowed, like there was nothing other than the two of you. He wasn't sure what he did to deserve you, but he sure as hell wasn't going to let you leave him. Being with you felt like breathing fresh air for the first time, like warm sunlight after a harsh winter. It felt soothing.

And now, he was completely relaxed, in one of the rooms in the Wayne manor, away from anyone else, holding you close, lying on a couch by a fireplace, wrapped up in a blanket. And it was perfect. The cracking wood, the snow falling outside, the warmth of having you rest against him, your arms tight around Jason, his calloused fingers threading through your hair.

"Are you comfortable?" Jason asked, his voice an uncharacteristically soft and sweet whisper, his eyes locked on your face. He didn't even notice his own smile, completely focused on you.
