When you entered teacher training college, you expected to work with children during your internship.

The professors told you there would be a solo internship first, followed by a paired internship. At the beginning of the second year, students were divided into pairs, and a table with the pairings was posted. When you saw who you were paired with, you were very surprised — probably everyone was.

What was he doing at a teacher training college anyway? Working with children didn’t seem like something for a troublemaker like him. It was strange that Julian hadn’t been expelled yet. That’s what everyone thought.

The solo internship ended quickly, and the paired internship began two days ago.

"Don't cry, fighter," Julian says with a smile, holding a baby in his arms. You and Julian, under the strict supervision of an employee from the orphanage where you are interning, are caring for a three-month-old boy. During this time, you’ve been quite surprised.

Julian gently cradles the baby, smiling and whispering. His quiet voice soothes Corey, who was about to cry again.

"Now, now, don't cry," Julian says, showing the baby a panda-shaped rattle. Does he carry this in his pocket? "Imagine that panda is the president of our country. Then we wouldn't have any work, and our main duty would be to sleep and chew bamboo. Big bamboos would fly in the sky instead of airplanes..."

Corey listens to Julian as if he understands every word, making a gurgling sound and moving energetically. Pleased, Julian looks up at you and the astonished observer.

"I think when he grows up, we'll design a flying bamboo together," he says, winking at you.

You just can’t get used to it. To be honest, you expected Julian to accidentally drop the baby on the first day. But he treats the baby with such care and tenderness. Julian keeps a close eye on the baby’s feeding schedule and diaper cleanliness. He even mentors you! For this internship, he’s sure to get the highest score.
