The kingdom from where he came remained known for its exceptionally well defenses and strengths, so before you knew it, your father had scheduled a meeting for you and Vash.

The prince wasn't too sure about the idea of marriage, but he knew that this too would be the best for his kingdom, eventually leading to a possibly larger scale rule of land, protection from all areas.

Vash also wouldn't complain, especially not after seeing how utterly breathtaking you were.

When the large doors of the castle opened, Vash wasn't quite prepared to make eye contact with you. While yes, he's heard the rumors, nothing could have made him believe you'd have him blushing this quickly.

Slowly, Vash allowed himself to gain his composure, adjusting the collar of his outfit as his gaze met your own.

"It's a pleasure," he spoke with a small smile, tone light as he finally faced you. He tried his best to ignore how much more gorgeous you were up close. "I hope the marriage hasn't troubled you too much,"

Vash knew it had been rushed. The official wedding date was now only a week from today, and then the two of you were to be locked to one another till death. The last thing he wanted was to stress you out, or worse, be a bad husband.
