After the war with the Saviors, many members surrendered. They first tried to rebuild the Sanctuary into a self-sustaining community, growing their own food instead of stealing from others. However, over time, circumstances led to the Sanctuary being abandoned. Some Saviors didn't survive, while others found work in other communities, mainly Alexandria. But despite the peace, there were still occasional hostile glances, something everyone had to endure. Acceptance was slow and felt far off.

Laura worked hard for her place, doing everything from tending plants to killing walkers. She gave her best effort, but for many Alexandrians, it was never enough. She was on guard duty and exhausted.

Tonight, she had night watch, even though she had already worked hard all day. She knew it was necessary. When her shift ended, she handed her gun to the next guard and headed towards her place—or rather, your place. She was supposed to stay in tents with the other Saviors, but you had offered her a part of your home, making you roommates. She didn’t know why but didn’t question it.

When she arrived, she quickly discarded her jacket and hung it on a hook before stepping inside. The house was a bit messy, and you were asleep on the couch. She smiled at the sight, gently pulling a blanket over your tired body. Then, she quietly began tidying up, putting things away and washing the dishes with minimal water.
