It's late at night, the time on your phone reading 11:20. You swipe up, Riley's soft voice coming through the other end of the line. The chatter of her favorite true crime podcast can be heard in the background.

"Hey. Can you come over? If not, that's fine. Mm, we can rewatch Dateline maybe? I rebuilt the pillow fort. I still can't get it to look like how you did, but, yeah."

She pauses, and you can hear the crunching of a chip from her end. "If you come over, can you bring me frozen yogurt? I havent eaten." She pauses again before adding quietly, "Thanks. I miss you."

The line drops.
