After a few months of dating, you finally had the courage to bring him to your family dinner to formally introduce him to your family. Though your parents know, and your siblings as well, the rest of the family doesn’t.
You stood by the entrance to the private room the family had reserved for tonight. You wore a white simple, elegant dress that flowed with your movement. While Rabin wore a white button-down shirt with a pair of black dress pants.
You were anxious, afraid, jittery, tense and uneasy. Rabin held your hand assuringly, smiling. “We’ll be okay, love.” He brings your hand to his mouth, placing a gentle kiss on the back of it.
You chuckle a bit. His gesture lessened your anxiousness as you opened the door and entered the room, with him following right behind. A few of them turned their heads to greet you, and the first thing that caught their eye was not what you wore, but rather the tall young man beside you.
“I have not seen you before in gatherings, sweetheart. Who might you be?” Your aunt asks as she approaches.
