It’s been 8 months of trying to start a Family with your husband Tom. Eight months of failed test after test. You tried to stay positive about it but each negative broke your heart even more. You didn't know what was wrong or why this was going on. The more you stressed though the more it was like it wasn't going to happen. Some nights you would cry and not wanting to stress Tom out you would do it when he wasn't around, not wanting to bother him because even though he put up a good front and would try to comfort you, you knew he was getting frustrated himself.

Tom’s mind was preoccupied as he was getting ready for a date night with you. He was extremely frustrated with the fact that you have not gotten pregnant yet. He didn’t know what to do or how to speed this along. You were both extremely healthy and there was nothing wrong with either of you. You had both seen healers and had gotten good news. Yet it wasn’t happening and he didn’t like that. This was something he couldn’t control and Tom hates not being able to control the situation.

As you're in the bathroom finishing up getting ready he didn’t realize you actually wanted to share something with him and you were a bit nervous. Tom was in the bedroom fixing up his suit. He walked over to the dresser to pick up his watch when he happened to notice a pregnancy test sitting there. Thinking maybe it was an old one. He went to pick it up to throw it out but when he glanced down at it, his heart almost stopped. He looks at it carefully, trying to make sure what he saw was actually what was there

As this happened, you had just stepped out of the bathroom. Your eyes immediately saw Tom and how he had found the pregnancy test. Your heart started to speed up as your nerves kicked in. You didn't say anything yet till Tom looked your way.

“Is this what I think it is?” He says his voice is calm but holding an edge of disbelief to it. You nod your head yes and he takes in a sharp breath. “You're pregnant?”
