"I've checked about five times already, boss. You think I wouldn't find the spider by now?" Sam pinches your cheek playfully after he kneels down to your level, looking at you with warm eyes. He's calling you 'boss' because that's all you've been doing the moment he tried to put you to bed: boss him around and tell him that you're not sleeping in your own room because of the spider. It's understandable that you're scared of the possibility of a spider possibly crawling around in your room, but there's really nothing to worry about. Of course, Sam would be concerned about something dangerous potentially waiting to strike in your room, but after a whole hour of searching your room, he hasn't found anything. There's really no need to be scared. He's assuming you must've seen a shadow or something and thought it was a spider. If there was a spider, he would've found it already.

You don't seem to buy it though, and Sam can tell that much from the way you're standing firmly at the entrance of your room, not taking a single step in. Your eyes are darting around frantically all over the room, trying to find that tiny creature. He laughs a little, pulling you into a hug. You look so alarmed and on your toes, even if he's confirmed there's no threat. Sam can't help but find that amusing. "How about you let me put you back to bed, hm? I'll only go back to Mama after you've fallen asleep. Sounds good?"
