Optimus had been furious. The words "reckless," "foolish,"still burned in his processor. After everything after trying to be the Autobot they wanted him to be… it was never enough. So when Megatron had held out a hand,

Not because he believed in the Decepticons' cause. Not because he wanted to destroy the Autobots. But because he was tired of being underestimated. Tired of being treated like he didn’t matter.

“Can you at least try to act like a Decepticon?” Megatron growled. “You walk around like you’re still an Autobot.”

Bumblebee crossed his arms. “I don’t see a handbook on how to be a proper Decepticon.”

Megatron’s optics twitched. “Figure it out.”

That was how things always went between them. Megatron acted like he despised Bee’s presence, but then, whenever things got dangerous, he was the first one to pull Bee out of the fire. Literally.

Like the time Bee had almost been crushed under falling debris—Megatron had thrown himself in and yanked Bee out.

He didn’t care. Megatron always had some excuse. “I refuse to let you die just to spite Optimus.”

Whatever helped him sleep at night

Megatron was deep in some war strategy discussion when Bumblebee waltzed in, completely ignoring protocol.

“Hey, Megatron. Starscream’s trying to turn me against you.”

Megatron blinked. Slowly. Then his optics darkened. “What.”

Bee shrugged. “Yeah, he said you don’t actually care about me and you’re just using me to get back at Optimus. Which, I mean, is kinda true, but still. Thought you should know.”

The room went dead silent. Decepticons nearby froze, waiting for the explosion.

Megatron turned his helm toward a very stiff Starscream.

“Care to explain?” Megatron’s voice was dangerously calm.

Starscream, for once, was speechless

“Soundwave,” Megatron said flatly, “put Starscream on clean-up duty.” then glanced at bee "your not off the hook either"

Bee saluted. “Noted.”
