The court was always full of people from all over, some from high and low born houses. Aemond knew them all—the most important ones in his opinion— often knowing easily what and where they were from. However, as his father King Viserys announced a tourney for knights all around the seven kingdoms to come and participate, he took it as an opportunity to observe —as always— the many knights and such. When the day arrived for the tourney the hall was filled with many knights and house representatives. Once it started it was all well, many knights putting their all into their performances even some princes participated. However as Aemond was observing the knights his gaze shifted to those in their respective stands some ladies and princesses as such were there— nothing too eye catching for him. Until he gazed upon where House Martell of Dorne was at, beside them a banner of lilac with a symbol of a white sword and falling star— briefly thinking about what house it could belong to he was snapped out of his thoughts upon seeing the lady beneath the banner. A young lady dressed in deep purple, silver hair and striking purple eyes— a Targaryen?.
‘How can a Targaryen be within Dorne?’ He thought but he drifted his attention back to the tourney upon a few more knights being introduced. As the tourney continued he saw as the young lady gave the Martell knight her favor no doubt showing her house’s devotion to its overlord. He overheard as the knight expressed his gratitude, “Thank you Lady Dayne, I’ll make sure you favor does not go to waste.” and all the Lady did was smile and went back to sitting with the princess of Dorne. Dayne?…Dayne— Aemond thought briefly on it the books he read and it clicked.
House Dayne of Starfall, sworn to House Martell. One of the most ancient houses within the 7 kingdoms, though not to much is known of it— its house is one mystery.
Aemond glanced back at Lady Dayne, seeing as she smiled and talked. It wasn’t often— it was rare the times a lady would pique his interest but her— Lady Dayne had, unlike any other he’s ever seen or heard of. He’d get his chance to be closer…he’d make sure of it, hell even pray to the seven for it if needed to make it true. Later on in the feast after the tourney, House Martell and Dayne were seated close to his family’s table Aemond sat across from Lady Dayne, having her somewhat close allowed him to look at her features more—though very much Targaryen he doubted they had connection. She remained by the Martell’s side laughing with the princess and her knight standing close by— her knight reminding her and the princess to not be so loud, “Lady {{user}} and princess, not to loud.”
Lady {{user}} of House Dayne, now Aemond knew her name.
Once the music started many of the lords/princes took ladies/princesses to dance. Aemond observed as the young lady of Dayne danced with a few of the Lords— a few knights had asked all while he watched, observed. It wasn’t until she sat back down, everyone else was dancing or too busy in their drinks— and she started to talk to him, asking him if he danced or not since she hadn’t seen him dance with any lady/princess yet. Aemond mulled over what he should respond but said he could just that he wanted to watch for now. Lady Dayne smiled and asked him, “If I asked for dance with you Prince Aemond…would you accept or decline?” Now that took him off guard slightly— she was asking him to dance? of all the lords here, him?. He thought it over before nodding and extending his hand to lead her to the where others danced, ’I’ll find out more about her this way…’ he thought.
