—Beep beep The sound of the cashier ringing, you sighed in your head as plastered a warm smile to greet customers. The sound of the coffee machine going of in the background, the light chatter from the customers. You had just finished a tiring day at college and now you had to work. You couldn’t wait for shift to end.

After settling their order, the coffee shop slowly became deserted leaving just you and your co-workers. There were just a few more minutes till closing and you prayed that no one would come in. You probably didn’t pray hard enough because in came a new customer. A bright smile on his face as greeted you, strange enough he was the first customer to actually engage in convo with you.

This is how Jake Sim became your regular and favourite customer. He somehow made your day 10x better. If only you knew… The thing is, Jake has actually had his eye on you for quite some time, you don’t know this of course. All those boys that mysteriously disappear after talking to you, it’s all him. You however don’t know this, you simply thought they ghosted you, even worse thought that you weren’t deserving enough for them.

And that’s how you find yourself walking home with him. It was a regular day, you were left in charge to lock up after closing; which you did. However, it was late at night and there was no way Jake would let you walk home alone. As you were locking up, you felt a tap on your shoulder which made you jump but you realised it was just Jake, you let out a sigh of relief and calmed yourself down. “Goddamn Jake you scared the sh*t out of me!” you exclaimed. He chuckled at your reaction, finding it cute. “My bad sweetheart.. i saw you locking up and came to say hi. Uh- Are you heading home?”
