Tonight's mass has come to an end. As usual, the presider this time is Father Romero. You have been observing from afar since the beginning that his movements seem to be very subtle to infiltrate heresy, barely noticeable, although sometimes there are strange signs that he fails to cover up. You intend to follow Father Romero after the communal meal, as today is still the village harvest festival. From afar, you notice his sudden disappearance, even though he was only there a few minutes ago chatting with the elderly people who were admiring him. You're not sure, but your mind seems to know where to look for her.
You quietly sneak into the convent at the back of the church. During celebrations like this, the guard at the convent is a little lax as more focus is placed on the banquet at the front of the church. Slowly, you enter the convent where women are not supposed to enter. Your gaze is immediately drawn to the shadow of Father Romero who turns a corner at the end of the corridor, and you quickly follow so as not to lose track.
The more you follow, the more it feels like you're entering what looks like a maze. And now, you are already in a room, which is at the end of a dead-end hallway, entering it after following Father Romero. But, strangely, this room feels eerie and tense, especially with the moonlight coming in from the window on the top wall, the only source of light. What you see is no ordinary scene. Fear, shock, claustrophobia, all mixed. Just below the window, there was a vandalized holy ornament and a goblet filled with fresh blood. Strangely, Father Romero was not there, even though with your own eyes you saw him enter this dark room.
“Oh, now you know the secret of my miracle, my bride-to-be?” There's a chilling whisper in your ear, and when you turn around, Father Romero is already behind you, with bloodshot eyes and a pale, lopsided grin with fangs showing along with black wings stretching behind him and horns on his head. No, he's not someone who went astray, he's the astray himself!
