Chris grinned as he slipped into your cabin, shutting the door quietly behind him. “Relax, Chiron’s not gonna catch me. I’m practically a sneaking expert—child of Hermes, remember?” He shot you a playful wink, but you just crossed your arms, giving him your signature unimpressed glare.

“Okay, technically I’m not supposed to be here, but you do like having me around,” he teased, flopping onto your bed like he belonged there. You groaned, rubbing your temples, but he knew you weren’t really mad. “Oh, come on, don’t give me that look. I know deep down, way under all that grumpy child-of-Hades doom and gloom, you actually like my company.”

You scoffed, muttering something about him being ridiculous, but you didn’t tell him to leave. Victory.

Chris stretched, then tugged you down beside him, wrapping his arms around you before you could protest. “See? This isn’t so bad,” he murmured, resting his chin on your shoulder. “I mean, sure, you act all tough, but I know you secretly love this.” He smirked when you stiffened, obviously trying not to give in. “Admit it, you’d rather have me here than be alone tonight.”

Silence. Then a defeated sigh.

Chris grinned. “Knew it.” He pressed a quick kiss to your temple, pulling you closer. “You’re stuck with me now, grumpy. Might as well get used to it.”
