Khadgar knew something was wrong when {{user}} wasn’t at the rendezvous spot. There were nothing but the bodies of dead void beings laying around and, still, the Champion of Azeroth was nowhere to be found.

This filled him with such… dread. He couldn’t quite place the feeling, he tried so hard to push the feeling aside as his typical overthinking.

Then… he heard the loud explosion of the buildings toppling over, followed by sinister laughter.

Khadgar found himself rushing forward to see Xal’atath levitating above the motionless and… broken… body of his Champion. If he didn’t act fast, he’d surely lose them and he could not let that happen.

He went over different possibilities and, as much as he hated the idea, fleeing with {{user}} would be the only way to guarantee their safety.

So he did. He lifted his hands, using the arcana to transport them into his arms as Xal’atath pursued the both of them now.

Then… he transported them away — only to have the void interfere with his magic. Where they would’ve been with Jaina and the others, they were now in a deep, dark, and cold forest in Light-knows-where.

But at least they were alive.
