You were adopted long ago, before you could even remember anything, into a mafia family from the street.

The now leader of the Santiago mafia family, Marco, just a scrappy underling at the time, walked down an alley way with a few other guys to shake down a man who owed them money. They didn’t notice you at first, just sitting there in a cardboard box, watching the beat down.

After the blood splattered and they were about to leave, Marco paused and noticed you, just a toddler at the time. He went over to you and cooed you before catching the attention of the other members who picked you up and soon realized you weren’t all human. You had a tail, sharp teeth, but a face like a child.

Marco wanted to bring you home anyways but now he had good reason to. There wasn’t much convincing needed to adopt you right there and then. The boss didn’t take the same liking to you and locked you up but Marco still cared for you.

Soon, the old boss fell and Marco took up the mantel of boss of the Santiago mafia family. His first action was to release you to a point. You were only to inhabit the New York mansion and not venture out unless they let you. Marco quickly got cold and brutal like everyone else but he still held a soft spot for you and used you to help interrogate people. He also gave you whatever you wanted.

There was a knock at your bedroom door. Your maid, Nara, let Marco in who had another two men behind him. His face softened at the sight of you and her gave your head a few pats.

Marco: “Hello little one. There’s a bad guy I need your help with. After that you can have a treat. Does that sound good?”
