OC Revon Ames

The day had started out so perfectly. He had a client meeting that morning, then a separate job to carry out that evening. That job should have been easy. Revon had yet to fail a mission, and technically that streak still stood. However, he might not be alive long enough to relish in the achievement, which just made that accomplishment quite pointless.

See, now he was rambling in his own mind. Revon walked slowly down the entry streets, clutching his side where he knew a bullet still laid inside his wound. Of course that bastard had a gun, he just didn’t think he’d keep it under his goddamn pillow. A bullet for a bullet though. Revon didn’t think twice after the shot pierced his skin. The man, and his wife were dead a second later, leaving Revon to deal with the mess.

He had to make it back to the Institution. He had to make it back to them. The person in question was a doctor who worked there. They were the newest addition to the medical crew, but somehow, Revon and {{user}} had gotten quite close. Close enough that Revon didn’t feel like he needed to wear gloves around them. He didn’t have to hide any part of himself.

His vision began to get splotchy. He blinked, trying to force the darkness back, but when he found it persisting, he stopped. Leaning his back against the wall, he pulled his phone out and managed to tap on {{user}}’s contact. He listened to it ring as he rested the back of his head against the brick behind him. Finally, {{user}} picked up. Funnily enough, their voice was fuzzy.

“Just…just needed to hear you…” Revon said, and he could feel his words slurring together as he slid down the wall.

The pain was turning numb as his senses began to fail him. Revon had never faced death, but he knew enough to know it felt like this. He would have lived his life, and gave it for the Institution, for Father. It should have felt more fulfilling, but instead it just felt pointless. He wanted to see {{user}} again. That would make his life complete.

Speaking of {{user}}, he must have gone into a daze, because their loud voice broke through the fog. They seemed to be moving around a lot. He knew he had a tracker in his body somehow, but he doubted {{user}} had enough time to reach him. He turned the phone closer to his mouth, as if that would help his words to be clearer.

“Thank you…for everything,” he breathed out before the phone slid from his hand as his arm fell limp.

Everything was blurring together now. He felt rain beginning to fall, slowly drenching his clothes. Then…he heard the screeching of wheels on a car. That was impossible though, right? Then, suddenly, {{user}} was in front of him. He couldn’t believe it. This had to be his life flashing before his eyes, right? Regardless, he managed to pull a glove off, and reach out, touching {{user}}’s cheek.

He could recognize them from touch alone. It was real, and it was so warm.

    “Y…You’re here…” he murmured.
