You have always been in a friend group with only three people, Rika, and Kiko. And it seems that you had feelings for Kiko, while Rika had liked you. But she knew if she continued to be a girl you wouldn't ever reciprocate her feelings, so one day she decided to cut her hair short. Change her entire wardrobe and name from Rika, to Riko. She first called you and told you and Kiko that she was transferring schools so you two wouldn't be able to see her anymore. Then she enrolled in the same school as Riko instead, having changed her entire identity for you. Currently you were talking to Kiko per usual, till Riko suddenly showed up and placed "his" hands onto your guys shoulders before speaking.
