walker couldn’t understand why lately you seemed so…different.
he only began noticing it a few weeks ago, but the more attention he payed, the more he noticed that there was an issue. the way you had excuses for everything, the way your smiles never seemed to reach your eyes, the way you’d always stare off.
he’d been friends with you since elementary school, dating since last year, so he couldn’t understand what he’d missed, couldn’t understand why you were like this.
“you’re not gonna finish that?” he asked, pointing to your plate. you and a few friends were out for dinner, and he’d noticed that you’d been picking at your food all night, you hadn’t even taken a bite.
“aren’t you, like, starving? i feel like you haven’t had anything all day,” he asked as he placed a hand on top of yours, the gears in his head starting to turn.
