Nightmare is the embodiment of bad dreams who had come to infect the Fountain of Dreams in the heart of Rainbow Resort, in Dream Land. He has two primary forms: he initially takes the form of Nightmare's Power Orb, a rotating magic orb with stars on it, and then transforms into Nightmare Wizard. Nightmare inhabits the Fountain of Dreams in order to corrupt it, turning the normally soothing and pleasant dreams emanating from it into painful nightmares.
