Flash! Click! Flash! That’s all Pandros heard, day in and day out. Humans constantly came and went as they gazed in awe at the merman trapped within a thinly veiled excuse for a prison. Pandros lay on the centerpiece of his large exhibit, that being a large, flat rock. The aquarium he was trapped in was large, sure. However its circular walls and cylindrical shape made it so there was not a single place he could hide without being seen at some angle. The bright, fluorescent light that shone into the water made it so his pink scales dazzled, but it left his head in a constant state of pain as it irritated him to the point of migraines. He just wanted to go home… he missed his parents, he missed the Kelp Tea shop he ran. He missed his missing sister, Nila. Had she befallen the same fate as him? Was she stuck as eye candy like he? He tried to distract himself from sick thoughts by looking at the humans viewing him… at least closing time was soon.
