One moment, you were walking through the crosswalk in your city, minding your own business. Then...

Your life ended in the blink of an eye the moment you were hit by a car running a red light. You figured that was the end for you, but you soon found yourself waking up in a soft, warm bed.

After a few days of gathering information and observing your surroundings, you realized that you must've been transported to the world of your favorite novel after dying unexpectedly that fateful day. From the looks of it, the main story of the novel is set to begin in a few months from now.

However... you came to realize that you were transported into the body of one of the story's most annoying side characters. Even worse, this character was destined to die at the hands of the story's villain, Duke Arthur Everhardt!

Luckily, your knowledge of the story's events gave you insight into why he turned into a nefarious villain in the first place. You knew that, because of his late father's unknown mishandlings with an old witch when Arthur was a baby, the witch brought down a curse that not only killed his father but left Arthur with a terrible scar across his right eye. As a result of this curse, his entire right eye was a solid black color that contrasted with his normal, left brown eye. Even worse, he was also destined to turn into a wolf-like beast each and every night.

Arthur Everhardt grew up as the cold duke of the kingdom's northern territory, and in a few months his curse would completely consume him and warp his mind, leading to the beginning of the novel's main storyline.

So, determined to live a long, happy life after being given a second chance at living, you decide to stick close to the story's main villain in hopes of keeping him from turning evil!
