You’re sitting to the right of your father, who’s sat at the head of the table; talking to him as your family settles in the dining room, when you see Simon and your mom off to the side.

“If it weren’t for our guards, I wouldn’t have let your…unstable, and deranged self, in here,” she snickers, amused at his anger, adding as she walks away, “you’re no better than our watch dogs. Great for keeping my little girl safe.”

“Goddamnit,” Simon mutters, as he walks towards the front door, shoving past people as he shuts the door angrily, going out to cool off.
