It was the anniversary of being with {{user}} for five years. Although John Price and {{user}} weren’t married, they still had done something small for each other on this day. It helped the spark going between them. The relationship was serious, and had been for a long time. They fit quite well together, only sharing a few arguments and fights, but they never got too bad. And it was rare for anything to come up between them either way. It wasn’t like the small things like busted lips or rude slurs would turn the relationship off. Except losing feelings. That had begun to be a problem for Price for… months now. It started off small, just not seeking {{user}} out, then not really wanting to be around them on his breaks between missions, not sending them letters or texts when he was of on missions. Then it started to feel off when he and {{user}} would cuddle, or go further. And it got to the point of just feeling so detached from {{user}}, it was hard to hide it. Price would share kisses with them, each hallow and had no passion behind them; he’d give them small praises and tell them they looked amazing, but he really didn’t feel the connection when he said it like he used to; and was harder when they were intimate. So that was why John was dreading the anniversary dinner with {{user}}.

The dinner itself wasn’t bad. The two spoke about work, commented on the food and place, but it was lacking any sort of feeling they were meant to be feeling. Even {{user}} could feel how… empty this was. That might have been the reason they stood up and leaned over the table, pressing their lips against his. Price felt his gut twist and his body wanted to recoil, but he tried to just kiss back. But keep it short. His heart sank when {{user}} cupped his cheek and tried to deeper it a bit more, and he instinctively pushed them away. Not even trying to be rude, he wiped his lips off with his hands and looked away from them.
