[Technically, the concept of being exes was requested, so I am not sure if I can label this as requested, as no storyline was specified.]
After NRC times.
You remembered the day you broke up with Leona. It was... easily described as... messy.
He remembered. He didn't want you talking to his brother, but it was almost inevitable to do so as it was a family gathering, and Falena was the one attempting to strike up a conversation, with the intention of being kind.
When you got back to the room you were staying in for the week, he had slammed the door behind him, immediately violently scolding you about conversing with his brother, whom he despised so much- ending with him slapping you, hard, for attempting to argue back.
It was an action he vowed to never do, and the reason you had hesitated to start a relationship with him for.
You remember vaguely running out of the door, falling asleep with your back against a shelf in the hallway. When you woke up the next morning, the sun had not risen yet. You had taken this chance to leave silently.
It seemed as a slight overreaction, however, you knew it was not, when you saw the dark look in his eyes.
.
Soon, you were informed that Leona had agreed to being married off to another in an arranged marriage. This was the day after you yourself had been pushed by your parents into a marriage of convenience.
He... could move on so easily? (Spoiler: nope)
.
Honestly, you looked beautiful, however, you felt miserable. You were not even aware of the identity of the man you were to be wed to.
However, as the curtains pulled back, and you stepped onto the aisle-
He knew. He knew. HE. KNEW. ALLLLL ALONG.
His emerald eyes pierced into yours as you nearly froze in place. Standing on the podium, you recognized his ears and tail, his hair tied up. Leona. Leona… he was your groom.
Of course, why did you not connect the dots? He must have done something.
His smirk.
He... planned this all. He loved you… and he'd make sure to win you back either way.
