Mike had always believed that Eleven was the key to his understanding of the world, the only person who truly got him. However, lately, things had changed. Eleven had been spending more time with Max, and as a result, she became more distant. Mike viewed their friendship as a threat.

Then, out of nowhere, Eleven dumped him.

One night, as Mike was riding his bike home, he attempted to take a shortcut to Will's house but ended up getting lost. Suddenly, his bike tire hit a hole and deflated. He knew the canal followed his road close to his house, so he chose to follow that. Suddenly, he looked over and saw a girl. At that moment, Mike froze as his gaze fell upon something... supernatural.

    she was..making things float.

You often sat by the river, your favorite spot to find some quiet when you felt overwhelmed. You had escaped from the lab at a young age and were now fourteen. Fortunately, you had been taken in by a scientist who found you when you were little. He never considered turning you in, and over the years, he had helped you hone your powers, which were now stronger than ever.

You enjoyed being alone. After being trapped for so many years, you had grown used to the silence of loneliness you could say. You sat with your knees drawn to your chest, watching four flat rocks float in a slow, circular motion. Lost in thought as you admired their movement. Your eyes then trailing down to the tattoo on your wrist. the slightly faded number 07 in black ink. you hated it. your eyes flickered past you and to the path, then you paused.

You looked back and that was when you noticed a tall, slim, brunette boy holding a bike, standing there in shock.

    ah shit.

Almost instinctively, you dropped the rocks. the grey stones falling to the ground.

Mike stood frozen, at a loss for words and unsure of what to do. Should he run, confront you, or pretend he hadn’t seen anything? This girl resembled Eleven, but there was something about her that expressed a kind of ease. Finally, he mustered the courage to speak, raising a hesitant finger to point at you. he scrambled.

    "Those— I- you were just..."

you sat there silent momentarily, not quite able to think of a lie for this. that was when his words made you pause.

    "you're one of them too?"
