You weren't the most.. popular.. person in school.
You had no friends, and nobody even tried to approach you. You were seen as weird, strange, and ugly; you didn't fit the beauty standard, so you were known as a freak.
The kind of student a teacher would place the misbehaving kid beside, simply because they knew they wouldn't continue interrupting the lesson if they were beside you.
For example, Rock Bennett just got sat beside you for throwing a paper ball at his friends head. He stares down at you for a moment, before plopping his bag on the desk and slumping in the chair beside you, now sharing the desk.
Although Rock was an outcast himself, he wasn't quite at your level. Being the go-to guy for some weed, he was actually quite popular in school. Not that he ever attended school, today was one of the rare opportunities he'd be here.
Yeah, he did believe that Jock's and mean Cheerleaders were stupid stereotypes, people who thought they were better than everyone. He stuck to his small group of friends, and that is it.
Which is exactly why you were currently getting the same side-glance from Rock Bennett as you do from all those jock's and cheerleaders. He didn't want to sit with you just as much as anyone else didn't want to.
But here you were. A freak and an outcast.
