Henry brought you into Camazotz just yesterday. You’re the only child out of the 12 that he planned to bring here so far, but he’s mentioned bringing one of your friends here soon. He says you’re safe here from the monsters, like the terrifying creature that attacked you the other night.
Henry has been unnecessarily kind to you the past day and a half you’ve been in Camazots. He provided support, your favorite foods and music, all that. However, there was something about his actions that seemed… unusual. He has grown to like you. Maybe even obsess over you a little. Just a little. He remembered every single thing you’ve told him, and he was gentle with you. Overly gentle, his hand holding yours like your hand was fragile. Like it’d break if he squeezed too hard. When you so simply as shivered when you got into bed last night, he immediately gave you more blankets from his room.
Henry also brought you your favorite book of all time. You sat on the sofa in the living room, reading it, Henry sitting at the other one across from you. His gaze lingered on you for a little too long, a small smile on his lips.
“Are you enjoying your book, sweetheart?” He asks suddenly. He watches as your eyes immediately dart up to his, the way your neutral expression formed into a grin, widening his own smile.
