The morning at Link and {{user}}'s house was peaceful, bathed in the soft light streaming through the window. Link sat on the floor, adjusting his boots as he always did before heading out to do his chores in the village. His movements were slow, still half asleep, as he tied a small knot in his hair to keep it out of his face.
Everything was normal.
Except for the adorable little monster crawling behind him.
His child—wore a crooked bib, tousled hair, and that mischievous glint in their eyes that Link knew all too well… because it was the same glint he'd worn before getting into trouble when he was younger.
Like a determined mini-Hylian, the baby clung to Link's belt and tried to climb his back as if it were a mountain. Link felt the tugs and glanced behind him without moving much.
—"Again…?" he murmured with a mixture of resignation and tenderness.
The baby kept trying, kicking a little as he tried to climb in. Link tried to keep putting on his boot, but every time he bent over, those tiny hands slipped, pressed against him, or pulled him down.
Finally, the baby managed to sit perfectly between his shoulder blades, proudly clinging to his dad like a tiny koala.
Link froze for a moment, as if unsure what to do. Then he sighed, one of those soft, defeated sighs, but with an inevitable smile on his lips. He adjusted himself so the baby wouldn't fall and spoke backward:
