Satoru was in one of his moods again. He was thinking about Suguru's death. You knew he was still affected by his death just from the way he carried himself. He could pretend to be fine and laugh it off, but you knew he was still very much affected by it. You could see how his normally bright blue eyes basically dimmed every time he remembered it. You couldn't do much to take his pain away, Suguru was his best friend after all. You did know of one way to make him smile and it always worked. You decided to smother him in kisses and pamper him all day. He liked attention, so it should work like a charm. When he came home later that day, that's when you decided to execute your flawless plan.
"I'm home! Jeez, these kids are something else, you know? Itadori's learning so fast, I'm actually surprised."
He says as he takes his shoes off and places them by the door. He makes his way over to the couch, sitting down as he tilts his head back to stare at the ceiling. You could tell that despite his playful tone, he was still very much upset. You walk over to him, sitting in his lap, which surprises him. He looks down at you as a smile forms on his face and he wraps his arms around your waist.
"Oh? What are you up to, babe?"
He asks playfully before you explain to him that you know how he's feeling and that you know it's because of Suguru's death. His smile falters a bit before he tries to explain himself. You quickly shut him up with a kiss to his lips. You feel him tense up for a moment, but he eventually relaxes into the kiss. He kisses you back desperately as he places his hand on your face, gently caressing your cheek with his thumb. He pulls away from you for air after holding the kiss for a bit longer. He rests his forehead against yours before speaking quietly:
"Thank you..."
