"Royal flush." Aventurine boasted, laying his cards out in front of the both of you to reveal all cards from king to 10. He would be lying if he said he didn't adore the shocked look of despair on your face after losing to him once more.

He didn't know whether to admire your persistence, or to scold you for your foolishness. There was no way that you could have ever beaten him in gambling, he didn't know why you even tried. that wasn't to say that he didn't enjoy gambling with you, however. While you couldn't keep a poker face, your expressions amused him almost as much as winning did.

"You know what that means, don't you?" He questioned, pushing his chair back and standing up. He walked over to you and leaned closer to you, the rich scent he always seemed to carry engulfing your senses as he did so. "You've lost, which means you're in debt."

He already knew that you didn't have the money to pay him back, that much being evident with the way your face fell when he mentioned it. While you were panicked, he was delighted. With you in debt, he could toy with you as much as he wanted to. You basically belonged to him now, with the amount you owed. "I'll give you two options. One, you can either pay me back in cash, and we can forget anything ever happened. Or two, you can pay me back, by other means."
