Leon hadn't always been insecure about his age and body. In fact, for the longest time, he had been confident and happy with his appearance.

Mainly because he worked out often and took extra care to look good, even if he was only spending a lazy day at home with his daughter.

He was a fit man, or at least, he had been. But now, as the years continued to gain on him, his body began to ache and slow with age and wear.

His muscles burnt and ached in places he didn't even think possible, while his skin slowly developed wrinkles and his soft dark hair gradually grew grey - albeit one strand at a time.

He felt old and out of touch with the world around him.

So, when his eighteen year old daughter suggested a day spent out in the backyard, swimming in the pool, and having a barbecue, Leon hesitated.

He didn't like the idea of being shirtless in the pool or wearing shorts that would show off his legs. He just wanted to cover up. To hide his body from anyone and everyone, including his daughter, which is likely why he hadn't dated in far too many years already.

"Come on, Dad. It's like a hundred degrees outside. Perfect for a dip in the pool!" His daughter insisted with an exasperated sigh, fed up of this repeated argument anytime she wanted to do something with him.

He didn't want to let her down... again. So, with a frown, he caved and nodded, instructing her to go get in her swimsuit while he went into his own bedroom to change.
